Quercusia
Quercusia quercus
the Purple Haristreak
Andrew V. Z. BrowerIntroduction
A monotypic western Palearctic genus.
This species is placed by many authors in Favonius. However, the cladistic analysis of Hsu and Lin (1994) implied that Favonius is paraphyletic with respect to Sibataniozephyrus if Q. quercus is included in it.
