Introduction
Brachyodina was monotypic, containing only the type species, B. niveioscula, until Woodley (2001) transferred the other 3 species into the genus from Dactylodeictes and 2 from Psephiocera. Most species of Brachyodina are known from South America. B.metzi is native to Jamaica, and B. depressa is found on Dominica (Woodley 2001).
